Well now. Here we are. About 6 months ago, Michele said 'Dan. You will never make a spider dolly. It's too well designed, and carefully balanced for you to make one.' I said 'You know what? I'm gonna make a fucking spider dolly.'

Isn't this just a kodak moment for me. What lies next to me, amid Michele's shattered opinion is MY sipder dolly, built with MY own bare hands. Michele, suck mine.

It took a while, but it was as easily put together as I had predicted. And I was right in assuming it was massively overpriced brand new. I only had one set back. What would I use for track? 'Not a problem' I thought. 'I'll just use a hose.' I was wrong on that one. A hose is way too thin. Even for my PERFECTLY aligned wheels. It is a swivelmatic masterpiece! So pending ideas for some sort of track, it is a complete success. I would just like to throw out some of the things I knew I would say one day:

I told you so!
You were wrong!

I was right!

I am a genius!
Anyone who had a bet with me. You all owe me BIG!

And as I take a final modest bow, just remember, NEVER say it can't be done.

Well, here we are. After filming 'VIN' back in 2008, FSP have done pretty much shit all. We are organising and filming a pilot for a show that will hopefully get picked up by Channel 31 or other TV stations. So far it is unnamed. We are all looking forward to it. I, myself, am nearing the completion of a spider dolly. What's a spider dolly? It's a tracking device used on films to achieve smooth motionfor the camera. A spider dolly simply moves around corners. A small effect, but very pleasing to see on screen. And a little bit of a bitch to make. I will keep you updated on the progress of the spider dolly. First line reads for the unnamed show start tomorrow. Wish me luck!
